THE EFFECT OF ADDITION 5% PROPOLIS NANOPARTICLES IN EPOXY RESIN AND BIOCERAMIC SEALERS ON THE GROWTH OF ENTEROCOCCUS FAECALIS ATCC 29212 AND THE DENTINAL TUBULAR PENETRATION: IN VITRO

Objective: The goal of endodontic treatment is to eliminate bacteria and their products from the root canal. Bacteria are main etiological factors pulpal periapical diseases. Chemomechanical preparation administration canal medicaments cannot completely in system, especially Enterococcus faecalis, which have high resistancy, therefore, an ideal obturation material required. Adequate filling quality affects success treatment. aim this study was observe effect addition 5% propolis nanoparticles commercial epoxy resin bioceramic sealer on growth E. faecalis ATCC 29212 dentinal tubular penetration. Methods: Thirty-five tooth samples were randomly divided into 5 groups. Root carried out with same working length 14 mm by cutting at Cementoenamel Junction (CEJ); sample inoculated for 48 h. Obturation used four types sealer, Group I (epoxy nanoparticles), II (bioceramic III (bioceramic) IV resin). Data analyzed using Kruskal wallis test a significant level p<0.05. Results: In bacterial test, there difference number colonies between groups nanoparticles, (p = 0.000<0.05). penetration bioceramic, 0.001<0.05).
